Goldsmith Gianmaria Buccellati turns architect for her upcoming fine jewelry collection, creating earrings designed to highlight the facial bone structure. For the past two years, the Italian jeweler has been concentrated on earrings, using graphic shapes and carefully chosen gemstones to highlight three major weapons of seduction: hair, lips and eyes. This thoughtful work has led to 65 exceptional designs, set with amethysts, jade, pearls, rubellites, tourmalines, or as pictured above, in tanzanite. Gianmaria Buccellati weaves gold into subtle sculptures to bring out the tiny diamonds, in a lace-like structure that suggests high ceilings of majestic Italian palaces, holding the tanzantite like hidden treasure, with a whisper of forbidden romance in the flower delicately carved from the stone. The 58.91 carat earrings are available in various designs, including sparkling emeralds, dazzling rubies and tanzanite.
